Frequently Asked Questions

Rent To Own

What is Rent-To-Own?
Rent-To-Own, or RTO, is a Rental Contract that allows you to pay rent for 36 months, and own the unit at the end of the contract. However, like any rental contract, you acquire no equity in the unit until the contract is completed succesfully. If you return your unit, or terminate the contract in any way, there is no refunds given.

What is the interest rate on my Rent-To-Own product?
Our Rent-To-Own is what it's name suggests, a Rental Contract. Therefore, there is no interest rate. You just pay your monthly rental payments until your contract is paid in full.

Do you offer Rent-To-Own on your Log Cabins?
Unfortunately, our great RTO program is not available on our Log Cabins. We do offer a Lease-To-Own purchase option for our Cabins. This is also a 36 month Lease Contract, with a $1 option buyout after 36 months. There is a credit check that is required, and with approved credit, a 25% down payment deposit would be required. This down payment is non-refundable after delivery, but will be applied as the payoff when your remaining contract amount equals your down payment.

See your local dealer for more information and to fill out a credit application.

What is covered by the Damage Waiver Fee?
Damage Waiver Fee, or DWF, frees the customer from any responsibility of structural damage done to the building by storm, fire, or any other natural disaster or any damage that happens to the building in any way. DWF does not cover flooding, or material loss or damage resulting from flooding. DWF does not cover the contents in the storage building.

DWF will waive the customer of any responsibility and further it will repair the damages or even replace with a new building if needed.

Leland's may choose to not repair or replace damage on a barn resulting from customer misuse.

DWF is for the term of the Rental Contract Agreement.

Information needed to submit a DWF claim:

a) Serial number of building, located around the right side from the door, up close to the roof line, usually on a small copper plate.

b) Name, Address, and Phone Numbers

c) A description of the problem

d) Date the problem was first seen.

Maintenance

Do I need to paint my building?
No, you do not need to paint your building. Our siding is pressure treated 40 year rated T1-11. We seal the buildngs with a water sealer before they leave our shop, to help protect against dryness and cracking. We do suggest that you reseal your building once a year with a water sealer to preserve the color. If you do want to paint it, you should wait about 3 months for the siding to adequately dry, so it can absorb the paint.

Delivery

Will I need to level my building?
No, you will not need to level your building. Our professional delivery team will level your new building in the location that you request, so that your building is ready for use. If there more than a 2' drop from end to end, or you would like it to be leveled more than 2" off the ground, extra charges will apply.
